One year ago, 360 closed. At that time, many of us felt lost and really did not know where to go. Yahoo’s decision to close the beta site was met with opposition from many around the world. I was a part of the committee to gather signatures and petition Yahoo not to close the site. We were on borrowed time and ultimately Yahoo closed one of the best social networking sites at the time. Despite the glitches, the community there had heart and we were family. It was a sad day when we all had to leave.
Now, we are spread all over the place. WordPress has some of us, FaceBook, MySpace, Multiply and numerous others. Many went to Multiply. I have one account there and FaceBook, Blogger, WordsThatLive and a few other poetry sites. The camaraderie from 360 has been lost.
360 was a great place for me. I had some great friends and a great following. Now, I have friends spread across the internet but we all have made an effort to stay in touch.
Time flies and even though 360 is in the past, it will forever be missed by this person.
