17/05/2010 Rainy Day
June gloom has hit us early in the Los Angeles area.
It really is just sprinkles and more mist than anything else. The positive aspect is that the vegetation is green; the negative aspect is when we get heat and we do; Fire season is deadly. Another negative side; wicked drivers come out. We seem to have our share of idiot drivers on the road but give us Los Angelenos some moisture; the roads become derby raceways and very deadly. Rule of thumb, give the roads at least an hour of water time then the oils will have moved to the outsides of the roadways. Of course, if you can give yourself an hour as well all seem to commute long distances to work. We LOVE our cars here and we are always moving.
The cats are not too happy today. Yesterday they lounged in the sun; today they are huddled together for warmth. Their condo is spacious and the second floor of it is insulated today against the elements. Yes, they do go outside but they are in a closed environment. Spoiled Cali kitties. No coyote or eagle bait are they!!
The painters have the day off. The redwood for the front patio has arrived and is stacked under the back patio so it will not get wet. Hate the mess but the house will look beautiful when done. All is getting done as the time allows.
Now back to the paperwork and the elusive business of living. Another beautiful day in paradise…
Good post. I be taught one thing tougher on totally different blogs everyday. It can at all times be stimulating to learn content from different writers and observe a bit of something from their store.
