10-05-2010 Mom’s Day Latin Style

Today, is Mother’s Day in Latin America, a day of celebration and for me a day of forgiveness.   Mom received ice cream and flowers…I found a sister again.

The day started out with Mariachi music…something Dad always did.  A few tears due to the sentimentality but not for sadness.  I think we are starting to live again.  Mom was okay and so was I.

My sister, one of them, offered friendship and it was taken.  It is nice to have her back.  We have been apart much too long!!  So this day, though understated in many ways, was a landmark day.  The family started to come together again.
